Library of Things
Your library is more than books - it’s a place to borrow, share, and try something new.
The Library of Things (LoT) lets you borrow a wide range of useful items for free with your Mildura Rural City Council Libraries LoT membership. From household items, toys, and outdoor equipment - our unique collection turns your library into a hub of shared community resources.
Why buy when you can borrow? By trying before you buy, you can save money, reduce waste, and make more sustainable choices - all while supporting a more connected community.
The Library of Things is available at Mildura, Merbein, and Red Cliffs Libraries.
Please note: items must be returned to the library where they were borrowed.
With the Library of Things, you can:
- Access equipment you might not wish to buy
- Try items before buying to make informed decisions
- Access equipment to repair instead of throwing items away
- Build skills, self-sufficiency, and sustainable habits
- Discover related library collections, including craft and cooking books
