Visitor Inspiration Program

The Visitor Inspiration Program (VIP) is a free training initiative designed to build local knowledge and improve how our region welcomes and supports visitors.

It provides local businesses and their staff with practical tools to understand the visitor journey, identify what visitors are looking for, and learn simple ways to make their experience more memorable.

Delivered through short, online modules, the program covers customer service and local insights. It’s open to anyone in the local tourism and hospitality industry, including accommodation providers, retail, cafés/restaurants, attractions and other businesses who engage with visitors.

As a VIP graduate, businesses will:

  • Be recognised as a trusted visitor servicing partner in the region
  • Gain access to visitor information resources and brochures to display
  • Have staff trained to confidently talk to visitors and promote Mildura and surrounds
  • Be part of a network of businesses promoting our region, with ongoing support from the Mildura Visitor Information Centre team
  • Receive online promotion and be featured on the mildura.com as a VIP
