The Visitor Inspiration Program (VIP) is a free, practical training initiative designed to strengthen local knowledge and enhance the way visitors experience our region.

Delivered through short, online training, the VIP Program helps businesses and staff better understand the visitor journey, what motivates them, and practical ways to make their experiences memorable. The program combines customer service fundamentals with local insights, giving teams the confidence to share the best of Mildura and surrounds.

The VIP Program is open to all tourism and hospitality businesses across the region, welcoming anyone who plays a role in creating memorable experiences for visitors.

By joining the VIP program, your business will:

  • Be recognised as a trusted visitor servicing partner in the region
  • Access visitor information resources and brochures to display
  • Have staff trained to confidently assist visitors and promote Mildura and surrounds
  • Join a network of businesses championing the region, with ongoing support from the Mildura Visitor Information Centre team
  • Receive online promotion, including being featured on Mildura.com as a Visitor Inspiration Point

Businesses interested in joining the VIP Program are asked to consider the following requirements:

  • Be open for a minimum of 7 hours per day for at least 5 days per week (If tourism seasonality dictates otherwise, let us know)
  • Be able to display designated signage indicating participation as a Visitor Inspiration Point
  • Be able to display or carry Mildura & surrounds tourism related brochures as provide
  • Ensure all staff supporting the business’ Visitor Inspiration Point can complete the online training to be confident in providing professional tourism information about the Mildura region
