Consulting with the Youth Council
Mildura Rural City Youth Councillors meet every fortnight supervised by Council’s Youth Engagement Services staff.
There is a 20-minute timeslot available each month for potential organisations to discuss upcoming initiatives and gain the perspective of our Youth Councillors.
While Youth Councillors cannot speak on behalf of the youth in our Local Government Area, they can provide their perspective as youth leaders motivated to create opportunities for youth in the region.
If you or your organisation would like to consult the Youth Councillors on an upcoming initiative, policy, or brief them on an upcoming project, activity or event, then please read the terms and conditions and apply via the expression of interest form below.
Terms and Conditions
- Applying to consult the Youth Councillors through the expression of interest form does not guarantee a consultation with Youth Councillors.
- The Youth Councillors will review each application and make a decision to be consulted based on their capacity (the Youth Councillors may be working on other initiatives and/or have other commitments) and if the initiative is relevant to them as Youth Councillors
- If your expression of interest is approved, you will be contacted by Council’s Youth Engagement Services team, who will then handle all further correspondence
- All facilitators need to create a youth-friendly presentation to be reviewed by the Youth Engagement Services team.
