Landfills & Transfer Stations
Council manages two landfills and six transfer stations, which are also sometimes known as ‘Waste Facilities’. All facilities offer both waste disposal and recycling services, however what is accepted at each site does differ, so check with Council before taking rubbish or other materials to your local waste facility. By separating your waste, residents will be able to reduce the amount they pay for waste disposal. Information on sorting your load can be found in the brochure below. Closed Good Friday, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and any day declared Code Red by the CFA.

Detox Your home(PDF, 190KB) accepts domestic quantities of household batteries and fluorescent light globes.
Paintback responsibly disposes of a range of waste paints and related products.
Aroundagain is a not for profit organisation that accepts hardwaste recycling for household items that are in good condition for reuse and recycling.
Drop off you empty chemical drums through the drumMUSTER program. Online bookings are essential.

This facility is not staffed. Access is available to local residents only. Contact Council for more information.
