The youth in our region give us so much to be proud of, whether it be achieving at state or national level or simply what they do for friends, relatives or the broader community on an everyday basis.

Our annual Youth Awards are the perfect way to highlight and acknowledge these efforts and will open for nominations on 29 January, 2018.

Councillor for Community Wellbeing and Services Min Poole encouraged residents to nominate young people in our region aged 12 to 25.

“These awards are not only a fantastic way to acknowledge the achievements of our young people, they can also either encourage award winners to continue in their efforts, or show other young people what they could be capable of,” Cr Poole said.

“They’re a chance for us to celebrate our younger residents for what they’re achieving now, and the hope they provide our region for decades to come as our future leaders.”
