Mildura Rural City Council has a packed program of activities planned for the April School Holidays, including several new activities and the return of some firm favourites, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Targeted at young people aged 12 to 16, our April School Holiday program runs from Tuesday 3 April to Friday 13 April, facilitated from the Mildura Scout Hall at 39 Twelfth Street.

New activities this year include squash, table tennis and a Jamberry Nail and Cupcake Day, illustrating the wide variety of activities on offer.

Councillor for Community Development and Gender Equality Ali Cupper said all activities are either low cost or free to make them as accessible as possible.

“Each year we see a great response to our school holiday program, which is designed to ensure our young people have something to do, but also something that keeps them active and engaged,” Cr Cupper said.

“Along the way, they may learn a new skill, experience something new or make friends with people they may not otherwise have met.”

In addition to the new activities this year, there will be a return of regular favourites including Laserforce, a Movie and Pizza Day, Inflatable World at Lifestyle Plus and many more. Lunch and morning tea is provided at most activities.

The April School Holiday program is funded by Council and the Victorian Government’s Engage Program, which aims to provide opportunities for people to participate in activities which build their skills and knowledge, as well as develop support networks with families, peers and the community.

Registrations are open now and close at 5pm on Thursday 29 March.
