Residents in the Washington Park area in Mildura will soon have an opportunity to help shape the types of play equipment to be installed in their park.

Council plans to install new equipment in the area later this year and is keen to ensure the equipment meets residents’ needs and interests.

A free morning tea will be held at the park from 10am to 11am on Saturday 2 February, providing a chance for residents to learn more about Council’s plans and provide their feedback.

Councillor for Environment and Farming Sustainability Anthony Cirillo encouraged nearby residents to take advantage of the opportunity.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to learn why new equipment is being installed, what Council’s plans are, and for residents to let us know what their vision for the park is,” Cr Cirillo said.

“Ultimately our parks are there for our community, so it makes sense to ensure wherever possible we tailor our plans around residents’ needs and views.”

Residents from the Washington Park area, including nearby Coonawarra Close and Colonel Court are encouraged to come along to the morning tea.
