Mildura's new Mayor and Deputy Mayor elected

Councillor Mark Eckel and Councillor Ali Cupper were voted in as Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively at tonight’s Special Council Meeting.

Mildura Rural City Council Chief Executive Officer Gerard José congratulated Cr Eckel and Cr Cupper on their new roles, while acknowledging outgoing Mayor Glenn Milne and Deputy Mayor Jason Modica for their contributions.

“I would like to thank the outgoing Mayor Councillor Glenn Milne for his leadership and support to the organisation and the community over many terms,” Mr José said.

“I would also like to thank outgoing Deputy Mayor Councillor Jason Modica for his leadership, commitment and guidance over the past 12 months.

“I look forward to working with the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor in achieving our Community and Council Plan during the next 12 months.”
