AFL Sunraysia is organising the two-day event, which will also see the AFL club visit local schools.

AFL Sunraysia’s David Kennedy encouraged the region’s footy lovers to come out in force.

“AFL Sunraysia are extremely excited about hosting the Richmond Football Club for the 2024 Community Camp,” he said.

“Hosting the Tigers will hopefully strengthen the local football landscape and encourage more young people to participate in our great game.”

Councillor for Sports and Recreation Ian Arney welcomed the Richmond Football Club back to the region.

“Our Council and community has enjoyed a long and beneficial relationship with the Richmond Football Club, dating back to the days where Mildura acted as a recruiting zone for the club,” he said.

“It’s great to see the Tigers back at MSP, building on the club’s recent AFLW fixture at the venue in October 2022.

“Mildura is such a big Richmond heartland, and I really encourage local supporters to head down to MSP and other planned events.

“This is also a great opportunity for young footballers to get some tips from some of their favourite AFL players.”
