2027 Australia Day Award nominations now open

Nominations are now open in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Event or Project of the Year
Mayor Cr Ali Cupper encouraged residents to take the opportunity to recognise those whose efforts often go unnoticed.
"If someone has made a difference in your community, don't assume somebody else will nominate them. Take the time to put their name forward and help ensure they receive the recognition they deserve," Cr Cupper said.
"Whether it's a long-time volunteer, an inspiring young leader, or a community event or project that has brought people together, we want to hear about the people and initiatives making a positive impact.
"The Australia Day Awards are our community's chance to say ‘thank you’ and shine a spotlight on those individuals, groups and projects.”
Nominations can be made by visiting www.mildura.vic.gov.au/awards and can be submitted until 5pm on Friday 30 October this year.

People making nominations are encouraged to provide as much information as possible as it is this information that forms the majority of the assessment process.
