Library requests

Renewals will occur automatically once, unless the item is on hold. If the item is required for a longer loan period please ask library staff for assistance.

With a Library card, you can place a hold on any item that is:

  • Available at any branch
  • Available at another library service. An available copy will be sent to your branch
  • On loan to someone else

Once notified, all items will be held for nine days for pick-up.

To place a hold, log in to the catalogue, and then search to find the title you wish to reserve. You can then place a hold one of two ways:

From the Search Page:

  • Click the check box next to the item(s) you want to place a hold on.
  • Click on the Select an Action drop-down menu at the top of your search results.
  • Select Place a Hold.
  • Select your desired Pick-up Library and click on Place Hold. Click OK.

From the Item Page:

  • Click on the Place Hold button.
  • Select your desired Pick-up Library and click on Place Hold. Click OK.
