Join Miriam and Andrew Yip as they dabble in the nearly forgotten art of fruit and vegetable preserving.  

The pair preserve and pickle their own produce from their urban house block in Willaston, South Australia. 

Miriam grew up on a fruit block in the Stewart area outside of Red Cliffs, surrounded by plenty of fruit trees and vegetable gardens, but only took up preserving fruits and vegetables once she had her own garden. Andrew is a keen fruit preserver, spending most of his Januarys preserving and dehydrating fruit from their fruit trees.  

They regularly present workshops to their local community on preserving fruit and making other products with excess produce. When they’re not preserving fruit, they run a family business producing video content for the environmental and agricultural sectors.
