Pop-Up Piano Community Launch

The Mildura Visitor Information Centre has been selected to receive a pre-loved piano as part of the ABC Pop-Up Piano initiative.

To celebrate the Year of the Piano, and the new ABC iview series The Piano, the ABC put a call out to communities to receive the gift of music in their town.

Thanks to advocacy work of the Mildura District Orchestra, Mildura was one of 380 public nominations considered, and one of 19 towns across the country to receive a community piano.

The piano will be publicly accessible following the launch and will be available for anyone to sit and play, or simply relax and enjoy the music being created.

Our community is invited to help us celebrate, while enjoying performances from local music students and Mildura District Orchestra members.
