Mildura Rural City Council has extended the deadline for nominations for vacancies on the Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee.

Nominations will be taken until Friday 31 January.

Positions on the Committee are suited to residents who have a passion for the arts and a desire to see artistic and cultural development in our region.

It’s also an exciting opportunity to be part of a team charged with further developing the Mildura Arts Centre as a leading regional arts and cultural precinct, recognised nationally and internationally.

Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said nominees would ideally have an interest and passion for the arts, and a willingness to participate in the development of arts and culture in our region.

“Our previous and existing committee members have done an amazing job, which is abundantly clear to anyone who’s visited our Mildura Arts Centre precinct,” Cr Modica said.

“Their passion, enthusiasm and vision can also been seen in the broader community with participation and interest in the arts across a wide range of ages and demographics.

“The three positions we currently have available on the committee provide an opportunity for community members to continue this fantastic work.”
