Your chance to help drive arts and culture forward in our region

Published on 05 November 2019

Do you have a passion for the arts and a desire to see artistic and cultural development in our region?

Or maybe you’ve been looking for a way to get involved in making our wonderful region even better?

If so, then the Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee could be for you.

Council is looking for community members to fill three vacancies on the Committee. Expressions of interest are open until 4pm on Friday 22 November.

Members of the Committee work with Mildura Rural City Council to ignite arts and culture in our community.

It’s also an exciting opportunity to be part of a team charged with further developing the Mildura Arts Centre as a leading regional arts and cultural precinct, recognised nationally and internationally.

Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said nominees would ideally have an interest and passion for the arts, and a willingness to participate in the development of arts and culture in our region.

“Our previous and existing committee members have done an amazing job, which is abundantly clear to anyone who’s visited our Mildura Arts Centre precinct,” Cr Modica said.

“Their passion, enthusiasm and vision can also been seen in the broader community with participation and interest in the arts across a wide range of ages and demographics.

“The three positions we currently have available on the committee provide an opportunity for community members to continue this fantastic work.”
