Sit down and have a Coffee with the Mayor

If there’s something you’ve always wanted to discuss or ask of our region’s Mayor Liam Wood you can now do so over a cup of coffee.

Coffee with the Mayor is a new initiative introduced by Cr Wood as a way to work even more closely with the community to ensure residents’ and businesses’ voices are heard.

“Ultimately it’s our residents who we are here to serve and represent, so it makes sense to do whatever we can to better communicate with as many people as we can to understand their needs,” the Mayor said.

“For me personally, sitting down with someone one-on-one is a great way to get to know people, and that’s what I want to do as part of Coffee with the Mayor.

“Whether you want to raise an issue that’s important to you, let me know about a project you’re working on, or where we as an organisation could be doing better, I want to hear about it.”

The first two Coffee with the Mayor sessions will be held next week on the following days:

• Tuesday 14 June from 10am to 11.30am
• Wednesday 15 June from 9am to 10.30am.

Each session will be 15 minutes.

Bookings will be taken until the close of business this coming Thursday 9 June. Please be aware places are limited.

When you book, you will be asked to submit what you want to talk about, including any questions.
