Mildura Music Festival rescheduled to 2021

The Mildura Music Festival planned for September this year has been rescheduled to 2021 due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.

Chandler Shaw Events notified Council of the difficult decision earlier this month and will continue to work with Council on the new-look 2021 event.

Councillor for Economic Development and Tourism Mark Eckel said the Mildura Music Festival was among many major events across the country impacted by COVID-19.

"The unfortunate timing of the pandemic and resulting uncertainty in relation to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions have created havoc for event organisers everywhere," Cr Eckel said.

"As a result, the decision has been made to focus on next year's festival to ensure it's a successful start to this new era for what is a hallmark event for our region."
