Mildura Rural City Council’s Electric Vehicle Showcase will return in 2024 following a successful debut in November last year.

A chance for the community to learn more about electric vehicles and hear from local drivers, this year’s event is scheduled to be held at Jaycee Park, in conjunction with the Sunraysia Farmers’ Market and Riverfront Boutique Market, from 8am to midday on Saturday 2 November.

Councillor for Environment and Sustainability Jason Modica said an expression of interest process was underway to attract vehicle dealerships, hire companies, charging network operators and electric vehicle-related organisations to take part in the 2024 EV Showcase.

“Successful applicants can host vehicle displays, stalls and test drives. We're also calling on local EV drivers to display their vehicles and share their experiences," Cr Modica said.

“It’s going to be another great opportunity to learn more about electric vehicles and get up close and personal with the latest electric vehicles on the market.”

Cr Modica said last year’s inaugural event proved a major success, with Council looking to grow the concept in conjunction with the Sunraysia Farmers’ Market and Riverfront Boutique Market.

“We really want to hear from as many businesses, organisations and local owners as possible through this EOI process,” he said.

Expressions of Interest close at 5pm on Friday 28 June 2024. Visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au/EVShowcase24 for more information.
