Child Centred Play Therapy

AP Therapy specialises in Child-Centred Play Therapy support.

CCPT focuses on fostering a child’s self-direction, self-esteem, and emotional regulation within a non-directive, safe environment. Goals include developing a positive self-concept, facilitating emotional expression, enhancing self-regulation, and improving behavioural responsibility. The therapeutic focus is on the relationship, allowing children to communicate and heal through their natural language: PLAY!!!

* Emotional Expression and Regulation: Allowing children to express and regulate complex emotions (anger, sadness, anxiety) through play rather than words.
* Behavioural Responsibility: Encouraging children to take ownership of their actions and decisions.
