Landfills & Transfer Stations

Council manages two landfills and six transfer stations, which are also sometimes known as ‘Waste Facilities’. All facilities offer both waste disposal and recycling services, however what is accepted at each site does differ, so check with Council before taking rubbish or other materials to your local waste facility. By separating your waste, residents will be able to reduce the amount they pay for waste disposal. Information on sorting your load can be found in the brochure below. For a current list of Mildura Landfill and Rural Waste facilities fees and charges contact Council or download a copy below.

For weeds that should NOT go to the green waste pile CLICK HERE(PDF, 1MB) - these items may incur a fee.

Rural Landfill and Transfer Stations

We are making changes to the way we manage rural waste facilities in an effort to improve and streamline waste services and encourage residents to recycle more.

The changes include introducing fees for non-recyclable and unsorted waste at rural waste facilities from 1 July 2016. This includes our facilities at our facilities at Cullulleraine, Ouyen, Murrayville, Nangiloc, Underbool, Walpeup, and Werrimull.
