NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week is a national event which celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It is a celebration that encourages the community to come together and participate in the many different events and cultural activities put on by communities, workplaces and schools.

Council worked closely with the Aboriginal Action Committee to put on a special community event to mark NAIDOC Week in 2017, in the form of a Corroboree; an opportunity for people to come together to share, learn, experience and celebrate Aboriginal culture.
