NAIDOC Week 2017
NAIDOC Week is a national event which celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It is a celebration that encourages the community to come together and participate in the many different events and cultural activities put on by communities, workplaces and schools.
Council is working with the Aboriginal Action Committee to put on a special community event to mark NAIDOC Week in 2017, in the form of a Corroboree; an opportunity for people to come together to share, learn, experience and celebrate Aboriginal culture.
The Corroboree will take place on Sunday 2 July, 2017 at Jaycee Park from 3-7pm and is open to the whole community.
For more information about the Corroboree, you can visit our calendar of events page here.
