Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee MEMPC

In accordance with the Emergency Management Act 2013, Mildura Rural City Council has established a Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee (MEMPC).

The MEMPC meets quarterly and includes representatives from Council, emergency response, and recovery agencies, as well as relevant community organisations involved in emergency management.

A key responsibility of the MEMPC is to develop, review and maintain the Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP), as required under Part 6A of the Emergency Management Act 2013.

The current Municipal Emergency Management Plan details arrangements for mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery across a range of emergencies that may occur within the municipality.
