Millewa-Carwarp Native Planting Project

Mildura Rural City Council is inviting property owners in the Millewa and Carwarp areas to express their interest in having local native plants planted on their land.

This program seeks to establish native plants on private properties in the region, and all plants provided through the expression of interest process will be planted by contractors.

Native Vegetation protects the land by stabilising the soil, providing a habitat for animals, protecting against wind erosion, improving soil structure, and combating climate change.

To be eligible, properties must be located within the Millewa and Carwarp areas of the Mildura Rural City Council Local Government Area.

Applications for this program have now closed. Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest. Planting will commence in April 2024.

This project is funded by the Victorian Government Drought Recovery Grant Program, which aims to support recovery from the drought and its impacts on the natural environment.
