Kerbside bin collection days for some households in Mildura will change from Monday 28 November 2022.

Due to residential growth across the city, Mildura Rural City Council has revised its bin collection routes to ensure all properties can be serviced.

Councillor for Environment and Sustainability Jason Modica said the changes would impact around 1,400 properties in total.

“Our staff and contractors empty organics, recycling and rubbish bins for 26,632 properties,” Cr Modica said.

“We’re adjusting the bin collection schedule to accommodate our growing population and want to make sure all affected residents are aware and prepared for these changes.”

Bins days will change to a Monday for two separate locations, starting from Monday 28 November 2022.

Areas affected include:

  • Between Deakin Avenue, Fourteenth Street, San Mateo Avenue and Twelfth Street View map here
  • Between Eleventh Street, Benetook Avenue, Cureton Avenue East and Cowra Avenue View map here

Council has delivered letters to all impacted residents this week to notify them of the upcoming changes. People with questions or concerns can also call 5018 8100 for more information or search your property address on the Council website to find out which days your bins are collected.

“Whatever day your bins are collected it is important you put them out the night before,” Cr Modica said.

“Bins can be emptied any time before 5am and 9pm so make sure you leave them out all day.”
