Get Creative Sessions

Mildura Rural City Council is partnering with Arts Mildura to deliver a dynamic and diverse after school arts program.

Open to young people aged between 12 and 17, the Get Creative Sessions will provide opportunities to enjoy a range of artistic activities including photography, videography, drawing, art activities and so much more.

The sessions will fully supervised, with no bookings required. Those interested in taking part are simply encouraged to turn up after school.

Every Thursday from 2 May to 6 June 2024
3.45pm to 5pm

Week One: 2 May 2024 Create Friendship Bracelets

  • Come along and create decorative friendship bracelets or make one for yourself.

  • All supplies are provided.

Week Two: 9 May 2024 Creative Coasters/Ceramics

  • Create your own masterpiece by designing and decorating your own coaster or ceramic.

  • Perfect gift for Mother’s Day.

  • Beginners welcome.

Week Three: 16 May 2024 Smartphone Photography Workshop

  • Explore, experiment and learn from a professional on how to take great photos on your phone.

Week Four: 23 May 2024 Create Your Own Comic

  • If you just like drawing and hanging out this session for you.

  • We will supply paper, pens and pencils for you to create your own Comic.

Week Five: 30 May 2024 All About You - Tree of Life Activity

  • In this creative session you will build your own Tree of Life artwork.

  • A self-reflection on the unique things that make you! 

Week Six: 6 June 2024 Videography Hacks in the Library

  • Meet in the library to kick this session off.

  • Bring your smartphone and learn tips and tricks to create a video like a professional.

  • Work in groups to practice your new skills.
