Draft Recreation Strategy out for comment

Published on 14 December 2020

Mildura Rural City Council is seeking community feedback on its Draft Mildura Recreation Strategy.

The Draft Mildura Recreation Strategy, which is now available for public comment, aims to establish the strategic direction for sport and recreation provision for the next 10 years.

Our municipality is home to a number of recreation facilities, including sporting ovals, courts, tracks and so much more.

Recreation facilities accommodate organised sports like football and cricket, and non-organised activities such as jogging and cycling.

The Draft Mildura Recreation Strategy aims to identify opportunities for future growth and improvement, while ensuring community needs and expectations are recognised.

Those who participate in, or would like to participate in, leisure activities using Council facilities are urged to view the strategy online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay

Hard copies of the Draft Recreation are also available by phoning Council on (03) 5018 8100.

Those wishing to comment or provide feedback can lodge a written submission with Council.  Feedback/comments supplying a contact name and postal address will receive a response.

Written submissions can be emailed to mrcc@mildura.vic.gov.au or sent to Mildura Rural City Council, PO Box 105, Mildura VIC 3502.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 22 January, 2021.

For further information please contact Thomas Stevenson, Recreation Development Coordinator, on (03) 5018 8100.
