Luke Alleva’s one-man show The Dancin’ Man hits Mildura Arts Centre on Saturday 18 July at 8pm.

Alleva grew up in Western Sydney, has built a career performing in musical theatre, including shows in London’s West End.

The Dancin’ Man showcases his dancing, singing and all–round entertaining skills as Alleva taps up a storm paying tribute to the sophistication of the 1940s-1960s with choreography that includes dance moves with hat and cane, in honour of Gene Kelly.

Arts and Culture portfolio Councillor Jill Joslyn said that she is looking forward to the Luke’s performance and the four-piece band providing jazzy musical accompaniment.

“The audience will see Alleva’s songs celebrating other great entertainers—including Frank Sinatra—with enduring classics like Come Fly with Me, Make ‘Em Laugh (from the film Singin’ in the Rain), and Mr Bojangles.

“Luke Alleva is celebrating songs that made Frank Sinatra, Gene Kenny and Sammy Davis Jnr legends, with his own modern interpretation.”

Now based in Melbourne where he lives with his wife and two children, Alleva’s performances aim to be so toe-tappingly infectious that the audience wants to get up on the stage with him.

Luke Alleva as The Dancin’ Man will be at Mildura Arts Centre on Saturday 18 July, 8pm for one show only.

Tickets are on sale now from Mildura Arts Centre, online at www.milduraartscentre.com.au by telephoning (03) 5018 8330.
