LAN Party Mildura

Overview

The Mildura LAN Party is delivered in partnership with Mildura Rural City Council and Tech Lab Mildura.

How to Register?

  1. You must have a Discord Account and join the LAN Party Mildura Server
  2. Complete the registration via Eventbrite, you are required to provide you names, address, email address, age, phone number and team name.

Tournament Rules

  • All entrants must live, work or study in the Mildura Rural City Council municipality and meet the age requirements at the time of entry.  
  • A player can only create one account.
  • Every player is responsible for their own internet connection to avoid possible ‘lag’.
  • All participants must check themselves in five minutes before the tournament starts.
  • The game schedule and the times that games will be played will be published in the online Discord chat group.
  • Competing players need to report scores within five minutes of their match ending by uploading a screenshot. (If applicable)

All games are monitored by the Administration Team

Behaviour Guidance

Council will promote a safe and inclusive environment, free of bullying and any other anti-social behaviour. The rights of each young person are respected and the safety of each young person is paramount.

  • By registering to be a part of the Mildura Tournament you have agreed not to post any abusive, illegal, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, racist or sexually orientated material 
  • All entrants in tournaments must treat each other and the administration team respectfully
  • Inappropriate behaviour such as using foul and/or offensive language, belittling or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated and any breeches will result in disciplinary action being undertaken and can risk instant disqualification

The administration team will take the following actions for any breeches of behaviour guidelines:

  • 1st offence: The player will get an official warning
  • 2nd offence: The player will be disqualified immediately and will be excluded from Discord,  the tournament and excluded from all future tournaments

Cheating

All forms of cheating in matches are forbidden. Any attempt to deceive admins or other players with wrong or fake statements, information or data will not be tolerated. Players found to be cheating or breaking any rules will be excluded from the tournament, this includes their team.

Ratings of Games

The Mildura tournament will comply with the guidelines as set out by the Australian Classification Board, the ratings are listed below. No correspondence will be entered into. For more information: https://www.esafety.gov.au/key-issues/esafety-guide

  • General (G) classifications are advisory categories. This means there are no legal restrictions about viewing and/or playing these films and computer games.
  • Parental Guidance (PG)-rated content is not recommended for viewing by people under the age of 15 without guidance from parents or guardians.
  • Computer games classified Mature (M) contains content of a moderate impact. M-rated films and computer games are not recommended for children under the age of 15.
  • Children under the age of 15 may not legally watch, buy or hire Mature Accompanied (MA 15+) rated material unless they are in the company of a parent or adult guardian.
