Household Chemical Collection

Chemical products can be dangerous – they can harm your family and pets, add extra fuel to a house fire, release toxic fumes and damage the environment. Chemical products should not be put out with your kerbside bins or poured down the drain.

In partnership with Sustainability Victoria, we provide a free service that enables you to dispose of potentially dangerous household chemicals and other products safely and easily, without harming human health or the environment. The products are then recycled for recovery and diversion from landfill.

Where
Mildura Landfill, Ontario Avenue, Mildura.

Items accepted
Batteries and compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).

Once a year, Council and Sustainability Victoria host a drop off event for the safe disposal a wide range of household chemicals. Please visit the Sustainability Victoria website for dates and further information.
