Community Relief Service

We understand this is a challenging time for many people in our community. Council's COVID-19 Community Relief Team can support anyone who may need extra assistance or is isolated. Services include:

  • Connection to social and community support groups
  • Access to food parcels, prepared meals, shopping vouchers and essential items for those who are isolated or experiencing hardship, including residents in outlying areas of the region
  • Assistance with grocery shopping
  • Referral to local, state and national support services, including financial, health and mental health support services
  • Volunteering opportunities to help others in our community
  • Help with collecting prescriptions or medicine

Once we have received your request, one of our team members will be in contact to help take away some of the stress and link you with services that will support your health and wellbeing during this challenging time. Where possible we will link you with an Aboriginal team member or interpreter service.
