What is Early Start Kindergarten (ESK)?

Early Start kindergarten gives fifteen hours (15) a week of no cost or low cost kindergarten to eligible three year old children.

To be eligible, your child:

  • Must be three years old by 30 April in the year they start kindergarten

    And

  • Be from a refugee or asylum seeker background

    Or

  • Be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

    Or

  • Your family has had contact with Child Protection
