Educator Profiles

All Educators have a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Training. Educators and adult household members also have Criminal History Checks and Working with Children Checks. Qualified and experienced Coordination Unit staff train, support and monitor Educators through regular visits.

BIRDWOODTON

Sue: Sue has over 7 years of experience as an educator working with families and children, Sue’s home is family friendly with a wide range of appropriate activities that suit the needs of children of all ages.

Cindy: Cindy has over 25 years of experience and is a competent educator and welcomes children of all ages.   An extensive collection of indoor and outdoor toys are a key feature of Cindy’s program. Play based learning is an important aspect and is aimed at individual children’s likes and dislikes.

IRYMPLE

Roberta: With over 20 years of experience as an educator, Roberta has a great understanding of children’s needs. Children in Roberta’s care are kept engaged with a broad range of activities that are appropriate for their individual needs and ages.

Karen: Karen has over 27 years of experience and offers a fun and warm environment, with music and dance a key feature. Karen’s service is suitable for older  children from 2 to 5 years of age.

Louise: I am a diploma trained educator with nearly 7 years’ experience in childcare and a very valued educator. My learning programs emphasize the importance of outdoor play and I supply the children with lots of opportunities to explore the environment around them. I am quick to form strong, trusting relationships with children and families. I use flexible learning programs to cater for individual children and their needs. Children are provided with fun filled play based learning opportunities in a safe and nurturing home. ‘Just 4 Giggles’ is brand new as of 2021. 

MILDURA

Tanya: I have over 25 years’ experience as an Educator in Family Day Care and centre based. My service focuses on warm, inclusive, nurturing, safe, and flexible environments. I see children as unique individuals and assist them to build on their self-identities with confidence and resilience. I value play-based learning, incorporating an Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) based learning program. I support this with free movement and a wide variety of resources for indoor and outdoor activities/experiences. My daily program includes group times which embraces story time, music, pre numeracy, prewriting and pre counting awareness to help support children prior to attending school.

Renae: With over 16 years of experience, Renae offers children the opportunities to go on regular excursions within the community including to the park and library. All food and travel is included in one fee.

Donna: With over 24 years of experience, Donna is dedicated to providing a high standard of quality care for children of all ages. Donna has a well-established outdoor play area, perfect for all children with age appropriate activities.

I have over 6 years experience and a Diploma in Children’s Services. Before opening Bambino’s Family Day Care I worked in Long Day Care settings . Coming from a large family, I have always been surrounded by children of varying ages…. My happy place. 

Amy: Amy has a passion for working with children and provides a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Amy’s home is warm and welcoming with a large range of activities and learning opportunities for children. Also, a large outdoor area for children to enjoy lots of outdoor play and getting back to nature. Amy recognises and values the important role families and communities have in a child’s life and endeavours to work in collaboration with them. Amy is dedicated in providing the best possible care to all children in her care. Amy has been a Family Day Care Educator for over a year.

Charmaine: I have previously worked in a Child Care Centre setting and raised my own children. I wanted to continue the journey of helping others and I will ensure my home environment is safe, caring and nurturing for all children of all ages. I believe children learn more through play based activities, and also by offering indoor/outdoor play with a range of activities suitable for all ages. I am dedicated in providing the best possible care and to help children grow and succeed to the best of their abilities.

Ashlee: Hi, my name is Ashlee. I have been an early year’s Educator for 8 years, previously working in long day care. I am honoured to now be able to be a Family Day Care Educator providing high quality care in the small group environment. I believe in the child’s right to play and have choice. I hope to guide children through the early years teaching them about inclusion and building their autonomy and confidence. I love to see children learn new skills and watch as they learn who they are and their place in the world. 

 

NICHOLS POINT

Kristy: With over 13 years of experience caring for children of all ages, Kristy provides a flexible environment where children are kept busy learning through play experiences with indoor and outdoor activities. Arrangements can be made for school, kinder and tutor drop off and pick-ups.

COLIGNAN

Sheena: "Sheena runs a program that is set in the rural area of Colignan which caters for children of all ages based on their individual interests and needs. There is a lot of room to run and play with plenty of shade creating the perfect environment for children to learn, grow and explore. Sheena takes the children on regular excursions which include library visits, playgroup, park outings, and this year we will also have the opportunity to participate in the Bush Kinder Program at the Nangiloc Kindergarten. Sheena also offers Kinder drop off/pick ups to and from the Kindergarten."

IRYMPLE SOUTH

Tamara: Crocodile Creek Family Day Care provides an inclusive, nurturing environment with a rural outlook.  Your child’s safety, development and happiness are most important.  It is my aim to help you raise strong and confident children.  I provide a learning environment that aims to create precious and unique moments. I reflect on those moments to understand and cater for your child on an individual level. I have my Diploma qualification.

RED CLIFFS

Belinda:  With over 16 years of experience, Belinda takes the children on excursions offering opportunities to explore the library and park. Belinda cares for children of all ages. All food and travel is taken care of and kinder and school pick up and drop off in the Red Cliffs area are also available. 

SOUTH MERBEIN

Cheryl: Cheryl has over 17 years of experience providing care to children of all ages and includes kindergarten and school drop off and pick up if required. Cheryl’s home offers children of all ages opportunities to play and make friends within a  rural setting with lots of space.

YELTA

Sandy: Sandy has several years of experience in childcare, including over 7 years with Family Day Care. Sandy offers care for children of all ages and provides quality experiences through different activities within the indoor and outdoor  environments.

ZOE SUPPORT

Zoe Support Australia is a not-for-profit community service organisation dedicated to supporting young mothers aged 13-25. Offering a culture of connecting, inspiring and learning, Zoe Support aims to re-engage mother in education, employment, and social programs. The Family Day Care program provides engaging learning and play for Zoe Support children. The Educators Simone and Karen go above and beyond to meet the needs of the children in their care, many of whom are facing increased vulnerabilities. 

Simone has been recognised for her dedication to young children and their families being Victorian regional winner in the Family Day Care Australia excellence awards in 2021.
