Reminder on rates

Mildura Rural City Council is reminding ratepayers wishing to pay their rates in quarterly instalments that their first payment is now due.

Council rates can be paid in one lump sum (on or before 15 February 2017) or the amount due can be spread out over the course of the year and paid in four instalments.

To qualify for the quarterly instalment program, people must pay their first instalment, in total, by the due date of 30 September 2016.  Given this is a public holiday, first instalment payments will be received up to 5pm Monday 3 October 2016.

Rates can be paid in person at any of Council’s Service Centres, online and in person at Australia Post, via BPay, mail, direct debit or via Centrepay for those receiving Centrelink payments.

Anyone experiencing financial difficulties or having trouble making rates payments should contact Council on (03) 5018 8100 as soon as possible to discuss their circumstances and make alternative arrangements.
