Libraries After Dark

The Mildura Library has joined the statewide Libraries After Dark initiative!

Libraries After Dark is a Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation-funded program that supports communities by extending evening opening hours in participating libraries, essentially creating a community lounge.

It aims to reduce social isolation by offering a community venue to participate in social activities like crafts, small workshops, listen to a guest speaker, watch a movie, or just access Library services.

Mildura is the 17th library to join the initiative, and will open until 9pm every Thursday as a result.

Libraries After Dark is aimed at adults, with people welcome to drop in, have a cuppa, find a chair and enjoy all the library has to offer.

You don’t need to be a member to come to the Library, however if you do want to join, just bring your ID displaying your current residential address to sign up!

Libraries After Dark is managed by the Moreland City Council in association with the Victorian Local Governance Association. Libraries After Dark is run throughout the year on Thursdays at the Mildura Library during normal opening hours.
