Full upfront payment deadline

Monday 15 February 2021

Quarterly instalment payment deadlines

1st payment Wednesday 14 October 2020
2nd payment Monday 14 December 2020
3rd payment Monday 1 March 2021
4th payment Monday 31 May 2021

To qualify for the quarterly instalment payment program your first instalment must be paid in full and is due on Wednesday 14 October 2020. Any payments made after this date will be treated as a part payment of the full upfront amount, which is due Monday 15 February 2021.

Arrears

Payment of arrears must be made immediately unless an agreed payment arrangement is in place.  As penalty interest accrues daily, please contact Council for an updated arrears amount when making payments. You cannot participate in the instalment program unless all arrears are paid in full prior to your first instalment payment.

Interest and penalties

If you do not pay your rates on time you will be charged interest. Refer to the back of your Rate and Valuation Notice for more information.

How can I pay my rates?

Online or by phone

Pay online at Australia Post BillPay or phone 13 18 16.

By mail

Post your cheque or money order, together with the Remittance Advice section from your Rates Notice to:

Present your rates notice intact.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS, debit card, Mastercard or Visa. 

By BPAY

Your financial institution can tell you if you have access to BPAY. You can use BPAY online or over the phone. Refer to the back of your Rates Notice for details.

Centrepay – the easy way to pay your bills and expenses
Centrepay is a voluntary bill-paying service that is free for Centrelink customers. Use Centrepay to arrange regular Deductions from your Centrelink payment. You can start or change a Deduction at any time. The quickest way to do it is through your Centrelink account online.
