Drainage

The drainage network in our municipality comprises both stormwater infrastructure, which is managed and maintained by Council, and horticultural infrastructure, which is the responsibility of the local water authority.

Council manages the stormwater drainage network, which includes:

  • 479km of kerb and channel
  • 330km of underground drains
  • 9,100 drainage pits
  • 71 drainage basins
  • 26 gross pollutant traps
  • 6 wetlands
