NAIDOC Week is a national event which celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It is a celebration that encourages the community to come together and participate in the many different events and cultural activities put on by communities, workplaces and schools.
It is usually celebrated in July, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was postponed until November.
The theme for NAIDOC 2020 is ‘Always Was, Always Will Be.’ Mildura Rural City Council’s NAIDOC 2020 celebrations are being delivered in partnership with our Aboriginal Action Committee.
The online initiative has been organised in line with ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.
