| | | | Local landowners and residents are advised that the Fire Danger Period has been declared and will commence at 1am this Monday 2 November 2009.

| Burning off during the Fire Danger Period is prohibited and Mildura Rural City Council will not issue any permits to burn during this time. Any permits to burn previously issued will be void during the Fire Danger Period.
The Fire Danger Period will continue until the CFA declares it over next year and extreme caution is necessary until then as dry vegetation and hot weather increase the risk of fires accidentally igniting and spreading.
Property owners and residents should have already completed fire prevention works ensuring their homes, sheds, garages are clear of hanging branches and debris.
