LISN Project – Learning for life
The MRCC Library Service was awarded a ‘Libraries building communities demonstration project grant’ in early 2008. The grant was provided by the State Government of Victoria, for which the Library Board of Victoria, (trading as the State Library of Victoria) is the Project Administrator. The funding has been used to purchase literacy and numeracy resources that can be accessed through the MRCC Library service network of branch libraries.

The MRCC library service acknowledges the following organisations for their involvement and assistance with the development of the LISN (literacy information services network) project: La Trobe University - SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), Mallee Family Care, Sunrayia Institute of TAFE, MADEC, Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council, Mildura English Language Centre, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development - Sunraysia and Mallee Schools Network.
