Demographic Profile  Printer Friendly

Aside from Australian Bureau of Statistics information, Council keeps a range of demographic information on the municipality for public use.

New information on the municipality's demographics have been posted on the Australian Bureau of Statistics website following the release of the 2006 Census data.

The current population of Mildura Rural City is around 60,000.

The Mildura Social Indicators Report was first produced in 2006 by eminent social analyst, Professor Tony Vinson.

A revised and updated version has been produced for 2008, which can be downloaded from the link below.

It includes a range of demographic information on the community including employment statistics, education information, age demographics, participation in recreation and information on people from a non-English speaking background.

The Mildura Development Corporation Inc Mildura Economic Profile is another resource that looks at demographics and economic information such as agricultural production in the municipality.

Part one is an analysis of the population and people of the municipality, while part two discusses the region's history and heritage, natural environment and services.
