| | | | Welcome to the Mildura Rural City Council website!
The site is optimised for home use and graphics have been designed to aid speed.
| | | |
 |
| The following details some of the great features about the site:-
Site Navigation The design of the site is simple and easy to move around in. Pages have been categorised under the headings of Our Region, Our Council and Our Services.
Our Region includes regional information like demographics, tourism information and links to other regional websites. This is the place to go to learn more about the municipality and region.
Our Council includes information on the organisation like meeting agenda papers, councillor and key staff profiles, policies and various publications.
Our Services includes information on all the services Council provides, categorised in alphabetical order.
A Site map, index and search functions have also been included for those people who like to navigate a site in this way. The search facility allows for a simple search of all text within the site, or if you would like a more detailed search of the website including all PDF documents, simply tick for a "detailed search".
Printer Friendly A printer friendly button is available on each page of the website, use this when you need to print a page.
Accessibility The website has been specifically designed to ensure that it is compliant with worldwide standards for disability access. The site is designed to be W3C Level A compliant, with additional features from Level AA and Level AAA.
A Larger Text version is available by clicking the "Larger Text" option at the bottom of the page.
Also available is a text only version, this can be accessed by clicking the "Remove Images" at the bottom of the page. The "Remove Images" version reads web site information from the same source at the "Display Images" version, therefore ensuring both versions display exactly the same up-to-date information.
Powered By The website is powered by AusSoft Solutions' WebComm system. It is a content management system based on a distributed authoring set-up. This simply means that staff across the organisation can author, approve and publish pages without technical HTML experience, helping to ensure that the site is kept up to date.
The website has been a joint project between the Mildura Rural City Council, Saunders Design Mildura and Aussoft Solutions.
PDF Downloads There are certain instances where the use of PDF files is necessary, particularly to download files and documents. We have used Adobe Acrobat Version 4 for our PDF's and you can download Adobe Reader from this page.
