| Road Works Update - November / December 2009 | | Mildura Rural City Council will be undertaking the following road works subject to weather conditions.
Traffic control and detour signage will be provided to indicate the changed traffic conditions. No parking will be permitted within the work zones.

| Planning and Environment Act 1987 - Mildura Planning Scheme | | Notice of Preparation of Amendment - Amendment C55 Authorisation A01417
The Mildura Rural City Council has prepared Amendment C55 to the Mildura Planning Scheme. In accordance with section 8A(3)) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, the Minister for Planning authorised the Mildura Rural City Council as planning authority to prepare the amendment. The Minister has also authorised the Council to approve the amendment under section 35B of the Act.
The land affected by the amendment is 104-114 Orange Avenue Mildura. The amendment proposes to rezone the land from Public Use Zone Schedule 7 (PUZ7) (Other public use) to Mixed Use Zone (MUZ).
You may inspect the amendment, any documents that support the amendment and the explanatory report about the amendment, free of charge, at the following locations:
During office hours, at the office of the planning authority, Mildura Rural City Council, 108-116 Madden Avenue Mildura;
At the Department of Planning and Community Development web site www.dpcd.vic.gov.au/planning/publicinspection.
Any person who may be affected by the amendment may make a submission to the planning authority.
The closing date for submissions is Monday 7th December 2009.

| Traffic & Amenity Disruptions | | Please be advised that access to some amenities may be temporarily impeded and minor traffic disruptions experienced in Mildura and surrounding districts between Monday 9 November and Friday 18 December whilst a feature film is being made in the area.

| Consideration of 2008/2009 Annual Report | | Council would like to advise that they will be considering the 2008/2009 Annual Report at its Ordinary Council Meeting scheduled for Thursday 26 November 2009 in Ouyen.
Copies of the Annual Report can be obtained from the Council offices located at 108 – 116 Madden Avenue, 76 – 84 Deakin Avenue and Oke Street Ouyen or online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au.

| Disruption to traffic | | Easymix 1467AM will be conducting an outside broadcast on Ilex Street, Red Cliffs on Thursday, 26 November 2009.
The broadcast will take place on the parking area in front of Justin Tassone Butchers. Four parking bays will be required from 6am – 10am.
Interruption to traffic flow is expected whilst the event is in progress and Council apologises for any inconvenience which may be caused.

| Disruption to traffic | | The Indigenous Family Violence Regional Action Group is conducting a community Walk Against Violence on Wednesday 25 November 2009 in the vicinity of Ninth Street, Deakin Avenue, Seventh Street & Hugh King Drive.
Participants in the community walk will gather at 3pm in the City Heart Mall and then at 4pm proceeding east along Ninth Street, turning left into Deakin Avenue, heading north to Seventh Street, right into Seventh Street, heading east and left under the railway bridge into Hugh King Drive, heading west to Jaycee Park, concluding at approximately 5pm.
Interruption to traffic flow is expected whilst the event is in progress and Council apologises for any inconvenience which may be caused.

| Adoption of Annual Report | | In accordance with sections 131(10), 131(11) and 131(12) of the Local Government Act 1989, Mildura Rural City Council advises its Annual Report, incorporating the reports from Council’s Auditor, has been prepared and is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Council offices, located at 108 – 116 Madden Avenue Mildura, 76 – 84 Deakin Avenue Mildura, Oke Street Ouyen or online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au.

| Planning and Environment Act 1987 – Mildura Planning Scheme | | Notice of Preparation of Amendment -Amendment C52 Authorisation A01299
The Mildura Rural City Council has prepared Amendment C52 to the Mildura Planning Scheme.
In accordance with section 8A(3)) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, the Minister for Planning authorised the Mildura Council as planning authority to prepare the amendment. The Minister also authorised the Mildura Rural City Council to approve the amendment under section 35B of the Act.
The land affected by the amendment is 12 Langtree Parade Mildura (Lot 1 and Lot 2 TP 674162X). The amendment introduces permanent controls to HO30 in accordance with the interim order amendment C49 which corrected a mapping anomaly on Mildura Planning Scheme Map No.27HO to extend the existing heritage control HO30 to apply to Lot 1 and Lot 2 TP 674162X Sec77 Blk D. The amendment also introduces the heritage assessment as a reference document in the Mildura Planning Scheme.
