Third Quarter Rate Instalments Due 1 March - 27/2/2009
The due date for the third quarterly instalment of Mildura Rural City Council rates is Monday 1 March.
Proposals To Cut Permit Requirements - 27/2/2009
Mildura Rural City Council is proposing to reduce permit requirements in relation to existing buildings in the Farming Zone.
Council Performance Remains Solid - 27/2/2009
Mildura Rural City Council has maintained solid performance across a number of areas according to the 2008 Auspoll Community Satisfaction Survey conducted with more than 850 residents. The survey measures Council’s performance across 14 direct service provision areas as well as 12 of Corporate Image Indicators. Feedback from the survey has been provided to Councillors and staff in order to address any issues identified.
Accommodation Houses: Act Quickly On Fire Safety - 26/2/2009
Mildura Rural City Council is urging owners of shared accommodation premises including hotels, backpacker accommodation, lodging houses and guest houses to ensure they comply with fire sprinkler requirements.
Freight Gate Precinct Planning Begins - 25/2/2009
Mildura Rural City Council has started the development of detailed plans for the central area of Mildura’s Riverfront, including the current freight gate. The plan will cover the area bound by Seventh Street, Chaffey Avenue and Orange Avenue; expanding on the themes of Council’s award-winning Mildura Riverfront Masterplan.

Libraries Aiding Literacy Development - 18/2/2009
Mildura Rural City Council’s Library Service will soon stock a range of literacy resources to assist people of all ages and backgrounds with improving literacy skills. Council Seeks Indigenous Views - 16/2/2009
Mildura Rural City Council wants to hear from Indigenous people of the region about how Council can better meet the needs of the local Indigenous community.
