As part of its innovative drive to improve the quality of the region’s stormwater, Mildura Rural City Council has launched a floating island at the Etiwanda Wetlands today.
The island consists of floating panels constructed using recycled material and covered with plants.
In the wake of the recent announcement of an additional 7% allocation for irrigators in the Murray system, Mildura Rural City Council is again calling on the State Government to underwrite an allocation for permanent plantings.
