Twilight at Mildura Arts Centre this Friday 20 January promises to be yet another fun event with live music, activities to keep the children entertained and access to exhibitions and Rio Vista Historic House.

So if you aren’t doing anything this Friday night, why not head down to Twilight, Mildura Arts Centre’s free outdoor event on the MAC lawns where you can relax with friends and family on a beautiful summer evening.

Twilight is about showcasing the region’s local talent and giving the community access to the venue after hours, with live music performed by Ben & Steph.

Arts and Culture Portfolio Councillor Jason Modica urged residents to take advantage of the entertainment on offer at Twilight, including Ben & Steph, who have been performing professionally for over 10 years local, nationally and overseas.

“Ben & Steph started playing music together whilst studying at Southern Cross University in Lismore, NSW. After playing in various bands, they decided to form a duo in 2011,” Cr Modica said.“Ben & Steph are both multi-instrumentalists and perform acoustic pop with a difference, playing both original music and covers.

“As well as creating their own music, they perform modern interpretations of songs from the past. Ben is a highly accomplished guitarist and with Steph’s strong vocals and stage experience, they are exciting to watch on stage.”

Throughout the evening, people can wander through the gallery and see new acquisitions to the Mildura Arts Centre Collection in the recently opened Collected Vision: Recent Acquisitions exhibition as well as Silos+Silence by Graeme Drendel and Birds of the Mallee by Paul Oswin.

Children can also join in the fun and make their own masks.

Twilight at Mildura Arts Centre runs from 5pm to 8.30pm on Friday 20 January.  Ben & Steph’s live music set starts at 6pm.

BBQ food options will be provided by Mildura Lions Club, while drinks and snacks including antipasto platters available from the café (No BYO alcohol).
