Lump sum rates payment due

Published on 08 February 2016

Mildura Rural City Council is reminding ratepayers who opt to pay their rates in a lump sum amount, that payment is due by Monday 15 February 2016.

This deadline applies only to those ratepayers who choose to pay in one lump sum rather than by quarterly instalments.

Just over half of the annual revenue needed for Mildura Rural City Council to operate is collected through rates and is used to provide Council services, facilities and programs for the community.

Rates can be paid using Australia Post Billpay by presenting your account at any post office, calling 13 18 16 or by internet at www.postbillpay.com.au.

Rates can also be paid over the telephone or internet using Bpay, with information included on the bill.

Please note that internet or telephone payments made after 4:30pm may not be processed until the next day.

Rates can also be paid in person between 8am and 5pm using cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit cards at Council’s Madden Avenue, Deakin Avenue and Ouyen Service Centres.

Ratepayers are also reminded rate notices can now be delivered electronically via BPAY View by registering online with their financial institution or via email by registering at https://mildura.formsport.com.au.

Anyone experiencing difficulty paying their rates is encouraged to contact Council to make alternative arrangements on (03) 5018 8100.

More information about Council rates is available online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au
