If you need a good belly laugh then you will be guaranteed a great night out when the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars hit the stage at Mildura Arts Centre on Tuesday 9 February.

Featuring comedians Kevin Kropinyeri, Shiralee Hood, Matt Ford and Dane Simpson, the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars is the first show on Mildura Arts Centre’s 2016 performing arts program.

Audiences will be treated to some of the freshest and funniest stand-up comedy from the oldest culture on Earth.

Mildura Rural City Council Arts and Culture Portfolio Councillor Jill Joslyn said the show had been touted as cheeky, playful, irreverent and absolutely hilarious!

“I have heard this show is very cheeky and so funny that your face and belly ache from laughing,” she said.

“Kevin Kropinyeri has performed in Mildura before and the audience adored him. This time, he will be performing alongside three other comedians who are taking Australia by storm with their unique Australian comedy.”

Do not miss these talented comedians deliver their own interesting perspectives on contemporary Australian life.

Matt Ford is the latest in a squad of exciting young talents rapidly establishing themselves as the next generation of Australian stand-up. Matt has worked with the likes of Doug Stanhope, Tom Gleeson, and Tom Ballard.

Shiralee Hood has survived the Canberra bush fires, lived next to the Tent Embassy's sacred fire outside Parliament House in Canberra and had her front teeth knocked out swinging on a Hill's Hoist (which is about as Aussie as it gets).

Kevin Kropinyeri is Australia’s premier Aboriginal comedy star, a high energy whirlwind that will have you holding your sides laughing, as he shares tales of growing up, marriage and the particular, absurd challenges of life as an Aboriginal Australian family man.

Dane Simpson’s cheeky online sketches such as “Chips and Devon” are making this bright new talent a bit of a Facebook favourite, gaining more than 50,000 likes. Dane has been running a regular comedy club in his hometown of Wagga Wagga since 2015.

The Aboriginal Comedy Allstars will show at Mildura Arts Centre from 7:30pm on Tuesday 9 February 2016. For tickets and more information go to www.milduraartscentre.com.au or call MAC on (03) 5018 8330.
