Mildura Rural City Council is inviting residents and ratepayers to provide feedback on Council services, facilities and the organisation’s overall performance by completing an online survey.

Council’s annual Community Satisfaction Survey opens today, and the community is encouraged to participate.

Mayor Glenn Milne said the survey asked people to rate 71 different Council services in terms of their importance and their performance.

“As a local government organisation, Council delivers more than 100 different services, facilities and infrastructure to the community. From roads and recycling, to child care and sporting facilities, the roles and functions of Council are very diverse,” Cr Milne said.

“Our annual Community Satisfaction Survey is an opportunity to gauge how important people feel each of these services is, and how they are performing.”

Cr Milne said Council would use the survey results to help plan for the next twelve months and determine which areas the organisation could make improvements on.

“At the end of the day, Council only exists because of the people we represent and provide services for,” he said.

“That’s why it is so important we keep in touch with their thoughts and ensure what we are doing reflects the needs of our community.”

Council’s annual Community Satisfaction Survey can be accessed online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/survey and hard copies are also available at all Council Service Centres and Libraries.
