Parents and guardians in Sunraysia will be able to learn more about the importance of early learning for children and support services available at an Early Years Pop Up at Mildura Central this month.

Coinciding with Children’s Week, which runs from 21 October to 29 October, Council’s Early Years Pop Up will be in place from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday, 24 October.

Councillor for Community Wellbeing and Services Ali Cupper encouraged Sunraysia residents to stop by to find out more.

“Our children’s early years are so important, they provide the foundation for the rest of their lives, making it critical they have every opportunity to develop and learn,” Cr Cupper said.

“Fortunately Council’s Early Years team has a varied and comprehensive range of services, information and support available for Sunraysia families.”

This month’s Early Years Pop Up, which will have a focus on health and education for children, will provide information about the importance of children receiving quality, early education as well as keeping up-to-date with health checks and immunisations.

It will also provide information on the importance of play and learning for children, kindergarten enrolment as well as featuring free activities and give-aways.

“In addition to valuable information about early childhood learning, there will also be information on the numerous facilities in the region, including the Maternal and Child Health, Playalong Early Learning Centre, our Family Day Care Service, supported playgroups, libraries and other services for families,’ Cr Cupper said.
