Mildura Motorsports and Community Precinct
The full business case, staged development plan and investment prospectus for the Mildura Motorsports and Community Precinct was endorsed by Council on 23 February 2017.
These three important documents and others can be downloaded from this page along with an exciting 3D animation for potential investors to visualise what the precinct could look like.
The Mildura Motorsports and Community Precinct is an exciting prospect for investors and for Mildura.
Council is seeking approaches from potential investors, clubs, individuals, private businesses and companies who might be interested in working in partnership with Council to help realise the motorsports precinct in coming years.
In particular, Council is seeking one or more partners to realise the first stage of the development.
Stage 1 of the development
The proposed site for the development is known as Block H, based at Koorlong and accessible by sealed bitumen road. It is already home to the Sunraysia Drag Racing Association, which operates a one eighth mile sealed drag racing strip that has supported many regional, state and national events in recent years. It is also home to Dirtworx - a commercial business operating off-road junior and senior motorcycle circuits, motocross tracks, and an enduro loop.
Stage 1 will include:
- Sealed three-kilometre road circuit (with potential for expansion)
- Multi-use skid pan measuring 100m X 45m
- Pit area and hard stand areas
- Control tower
- Offices and associated facilities
- Maintenance/wash down shed
- Camping facilities
- Food and beverage services
Long Term Master Plan
Eventually, the Mildura Motorsports and Community Precinct will be able to host a unique and diverse range of motorsport events, as well as becoming an important multi-use facility for tourist and community events.
The staged development plan includes agreement by existing motorsport clubs and facility operators to relocate to the precinct in the short to long term.
